We have used this dental practice three times. The first time was bad. The place was overcrowded and chaotic. When it came time for x-rays, they almost x-rayed our 13 month-old and my pregnant wife along with my 3 year-old who was there for her appointment. If someone walking by hadn’t noticed, the technician would have x-rayed them all. The saving grace was that the hygienist was really good with my daughter. Nevertheless, not a good first visit. My wife believes in giving people a second chance, so she took our daughter back. The second visit was still a case study in anarchy, but the dental hygienist (same one as first visit) was again great with our daughter, so we thought the first visit was a fluke. My wife and daughter just returned home from their third visit to this dental practice. The first visit was not a fluke; it seems to be the norm. My family waited forty-five minutes past the appointment time to finally be taken back. Other people were waiting just as long or longer. Once my daughter did get called back, the x-ray technician rammed the x-ray apparatus into my daughter’s mouth because she was in a hurry. My daughter has cuts on the inside of her mouth from the rushing technician. This was followed by a hygienist that was distracted, watching someone else’s child while she was supposed to be cleaning my daughter’s teeth. So, as you can imagine, she wasn’t very attentive to my daughter’s needs or the fact that the x-ray technician had traumatized my child. Why is a hygienist who is supposed to be working with a patient babysitting another child in the first place? This just reinforces the fact that this office is like a zoo. We suggest that you look elsewhere for a dentist. This practice has some good people, but the overcrowding and the unevenness of the care provided make each visit a crap shoot.
